Volunteer Opportunities on Our Campus:
We encourage volunteers under 16 years of age to conduct supply drives for the homeless with their school, club or youth group, etc. You can find out our current needs by contacting us. Volunteers that are at least 16 years old with parent/guardian consent or over 18 years old can review the volunteer opportunites below. New Hope Family Shelter Child Care:
Child care and receptionists opportunities are available for individuals that provide proof of a criminal background check and TB test. Up to 4 individuals can create, plan, provide and schedule activities for children any time between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on weekdays or between 9:00 a.m. and noon on Saturdays. Great opportunity for certified child care workers!
Men's & Women's Chapel Services:
Evening chapel services are provided for our program men and our women(separately) by groups from caring area "full gospel" churches and ministries. Chapel services occur seven nights a week, three hundred and sixty five days each year between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Diversity in presentation of the Gospel is encouraged! We are always open to new, creative ideas in regards to the format, presentation and ways to comfortably conduct an effective evening chapel service. We also have ministry opportunities for those ministries who provide Vacation Bible School (VBS) or other similar seasonal curriculums. Dramatic and musical programming is also welcome. Great opportunity for church outreach, worship arts or mission teams! Family and group participation in preparing or serving holiday meals is encouraged and facilitated on every Thanksgiving Day and every Christmas Day. Meal service schedule shifts are usually are 1) Meal preparation for up to 7 volunteers from 9:00 a.m. up to 1:00 p.m., 2) and Meal service for up to 4 volunteers from 2:00 p.m. up to 6:00 p.m. Participation teams for each shift is scheduled on a first-applied-first scheduled basis.
Work Service Projects:
There are ongoing needs and opportunities for groups of any size to participate in clean-up, fix-up, landscaping, paint and maintenance type of projects. This a great opportunity for youth, community service, employee 'team building', leadership club or weekend service projects. If your organization or business can donate the items for your project, this would increase the impact exponentially!
Hope Learning Center:
Individuals can tutor men & women on computer use and basic skills exercise programs between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Great for retired educators and student tutors! To learn more about the Hope Learning Center, please click here.
